A bit of my story

Before I became a counselor, I spent a few years as a high school teacher.

I loved working with teenagers, but paused my career to travel the country with my Army family.

During my years as an Army spouse, I learned about the importance of connection with others

and the need we all have to create close, supportive bonds.

I've also experienced how lonely it can be without those relationships,

and the kind of vulnerability it takes to open up and share your inner self with someone new.

My approach to counseling is to create a safe space and a strong relationship

where we can explore whatever symptom or situation brought you to therapy.

It is truly hard to confront and overcome certain issues and aspects in one’s life and self.

That is why I strongly believe that no one should have to go face them alone.

I believe that change and healing happen when we are truly seen, heard, and known by another.

It is my hope for you to experience life in new and different ways.

Whether it’s living with less anxiety or depression, healing in relationships,

or managing long term mental health issues, there is hope for healing.
